Poster for Tomorrow

I am very excited to announce that I have volunteered to organize the Poster for Tomorrow “A Day for Tomorrow” 2012 art exhibition here in Gainesville, FL!

Poster for Tomorrow is the main project of 4Tomorrow, a non-profit organization based in Paris. Poster for Tomorrow works to encourage healthy debate through artistic posters. Artists from all over the world submit artwork. The top 100 are selected for exhibition and the top 10 get permanent exhibitions in museum’s all over the world. This year’s theme is “Gender Equality Now!”

I’ve partnered up with Wild Iris Books, Florida’s ONLY feminist book store, where I’ll hold the exhibition. If you are in Gainesville, please come out and visit on December 10 and 11. This is an exciting opportunity, and I’m pumped to work with such fantastic people championing good causes and bringing this exhibition to Gainesville.

The facebook event page is here.
We are also accepting donations to offset the printing and display costs here.
Check out posterfortomorrow.org and see this year’s top 10 exhibition pieces.

294: Gainesville Roller Rebels

here’s the poster for the Gainesville Roller Rebel’s upcoming home bout against the Blue Ridge Roller Girls. i ended up deviating from my original vision (it was harder than i thought to fit in the rainbow leopard print!), but i think the end result came out nicely.

291: oak wedding invitations

perfect for a fall wedding

update: vacation & artfest

i’m back from vacation! it was amazing. puerto rico is truly beautiful, and the coastline is simply gorgeous. we were mainly in the san juan area, but visited fajardo for a day. we wanted to go to the observatory in arecibo, but that will be on the next visit. we ate, swam, ate, laughed, ate, snorkeled, ate, toured, climbed, relaxed, played, loved and seriously ATE. it was lovely and the perfect vacation. hopefully i will have some photos to post of the coral reef we visited soon.

and man, a week is such a short amount of time. when you are on vacation and when you return and have just a week to prepare for art fest. eek! i’ve been busy so far this week getting things sorted for friday’s event. there will be some brand new art and old favorites, like the bitter mermaid in the previous post.
i’m really excited to show with a bunch of other amazing vendors. if you are in gainesville, i hope to see you friday!
